Why MarineVerse?

I'm Mason's Grandpa! I am also a Marine Engineer who does 3D CAD design, and use other sailing simulations in classes I teach.

Sailing experience:

I haven't sailed around the world but I do own a Hunter 35 Legend, an I-20 Scow, an old E-Scow and several wood sailing canoes, and build Smith Island Crab Skiffs, CNC'd from my own plans in my 'Twisted Oyster Boatworks' shop. I have been a USCG 100 Ton Licensed Master with a sail endorsement. From a sailing family, I first learned to sail around 1967, began serious racing in 1986 in an M-Scow, and currently teach sailing at St. Mary's College of MD. I also manage all the larger boats donated to the College, which have included a custom Taylor 40, Farr 40 & 30, Seacart 30 Tri, M-32 cats, Evelyn 32 (which was mine for a time), Frers 41, Swann 44, J-29, & a Cheoy Lee 78 Ft Motor sailor among others. I owned a Prindle 16 cat too but prefer monohulls.
